You'll Never Run Out of Discoveries
One of the things we love most about our location is that it's impossible to be bored here — there's just so much to do. Wondering where to start? Here are a few of our recommendations. Just let us know if you need more!
- San Antonio Riverwalk: The city's top attraction is an easy walk from Kimpton Santo. Stroll along the pedestrian-only sidewalk, which runs alongside the river a level below the automobile street, to find gardens, shops, restaurants, and historical sites.
- The Alamo: A Spanish mission founded in 1878, the Alamo rose to prominence in the 1836 Battle of the Alamo, a turning point in the Texas Revolution. Highlights include the Alamo Church, the Long Barrack, and a living history encampment that brings you back to life in the 1830s.
- San Fernando Cathedral: The oldest standing church building in Texas dates back to the 1730s and was constructed in Gothic Revival style. On Tuesday through Sunday, you can see a video art installation projected on the exterior that tells the story of San Antonio's history.
- Majestic Theatre: A National Historic Landmark built in 1929, this Spanish Mediterranean theater hosts a variety of Broadways shows, concerts, and other performances.
- Jazz, TX: Live music seven nights a week — including jazz, blues, Texas swing, and salsa — make this a go-to spot for an entertaining evening.
